P2P awarded $10K grant from Newman’s Own Foundation

NORWALK — Person-to-Person has received a $10,000 grant from Newman’s Own Foundation for its Emergency Assistance Program, which provides food, clothing, financial assistance and casework counseling to the working poor and people experiencing a situational crisis.

For nearly 30 years, Paul Newman and Newman’s Own Foundation have supported the work of Person-to-Person, whose mission — providing emergency assistance for basic needs and support for individuals and families as they move toward stability — aligns with the foundation’s focus on empowering those less fortunate.

Executive Director Ceci Maher noted the number of agencies providing the breadth of services offered by Person-to-Person has declined, but the need is still here. “The ongoing support of Newman’s Own Foundation ensures that P2P continues as a strong and vital resource for people living in Norwalk, Stamford, Darien, New Canaan, Westport, Weston and Wilton.”
