Last year the New Paradigm Theatre’s sold out its “Oliver-Reinvented” in Fairfield.
Theater folks are hoping for a repeat Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 26-27, when they present three performances of “Peter Pan — Reimagined: Pirates and Pixies” at the Fairfield Theatre Company’s Warehouse theater.
The nonprofit company describes itself as professional theater that features “Broadway pros” who will “participate side-by-side (with) youth from Lower Fairfield County as well as youth from KEYS ... fulfilling NPT’s mission of fostering creative problem solvers, leaders, and global citizens through theater arts education and productions.”
“Tying in the idea of “stimulating a child’s imagination so they can create a better world,” NPT’s partner is KEYS (Kids Empowered by Your Support), which has as its mission “to bring one-to-one instrument lessons and group music instruction to underserved inner-city children” in the Bridgeport area.
Broadway and film veteran Paul Bogaev, of Weston, serves as music director. A Grammy Award-winner Bogaev also plays the role of Hook.
