The Darien Department of Public Works announced the paving program for August.
The following streets are on the schedule:
Driftway Lane (Old Farm Road to Tokeneke Road), through Aug. 13.
Old Farm Road (Tokeneke to Driftway), through Aug. 14.
5 Mile River Road (Old Farm Road to Tokeneke), through Aug. 14.
Raymond Street (Old Kings Highway North to Cliff Avenue), Aug. 8 to 18.
Old Kings Highway North No. 3 (Old Kings Highway No. 1 to Boston Post Road), Aug. 11 to 18.
West Norwalk Road (Boston Post Road to Norwalk line), Aug. 11 to 18.
Shadbush Lane (Leroy Avenue No. 1 to cul de sac), Aug. 11 to 19.
Elm Street (Noroton Avenue to Fairfield Avenue), Aug. 11 to 19.
Fairfield Avenue (Chestnut to Elm), Aug. 12 to 19.
Maple Street (Noroton Avenue to Linden Avenue), Aug. 12 to 20.
Haskell Lane (Hollow Tree to cul de sac), Aug. 18 to 21.
Lantern Lane (Middlesex Road to cul de sac), Aug. 18 to 21.
Sunnyside Avenue (Middlesex Road to Christie Hill Road), Aug. 18 to 21.
Preparatory work will precede paving on all of the roads. The dates listed include milling and paving.
Surfaces will have raised structures during the work, so motorists are asked to avoid the roads if possible during the work or to use extra caution.
The schedule is based on weather conditions.
Driveway access will be limited during paving operations. However, no single driveway should be closed for more than an hour.
On-street parking will be suspended during paving operations.
