Royle sets new record for Jump Rope for Heart

Royle Elementary School in Darien set a new record in funds raised at the sixth annual Jump Rope for Heart.

"I am in awe of the generosity and hard work demonstrated by our students, parents, faculty and staff," said Jill Cardamone, a physical education teacher.

The school raised $24,450, for the American Heart Association.

"Our Jump Rope for Heart participation is a powerful statement about how our community comes together," Principal Keith Margolis said. "The generosity never ceases to amaze me and this year is no exception as we set a school Jump Rope for Heart record."

The program encourages students to keep their hearts healthy by eating healthy foods and exercising.
