Roadway sign breached

A digital road sign on Raymond Street was turned off after an unknown person breached it and changed its message twice, according to police.

The first incident was discovered at 8:30 a.m. Aug. 8. The message had been changed.

Assistant Highway Supervisor Matt Dunn changed the sign and installed new locks, police said.

On Aug. 10, Dunn found the locks broken and the sign changed again, police said. Dunn turned off the sign entirely.

The wording of the messages is unknown, police said.
