Todd Armstrong, of Darien, is exhibiting a series of photographs depicting animals, human portraits, and landscapes from six distinct regions through Jan. 31 at the Darien Nature Center.
A reception will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the nature center, 120 Brookside Road.
Armstrong's photographs were taken in east Asia, the Himalayas of Nepal and India, Patagonia, the Galapagos Islands, coastal South America and southwestern Africa. The exhibit will also display unique artistic and cultural souvenirs he has collected over his decades around the globe.
His foreign work experience includes the United Nations Children's Fund Namibia, Save the Children Nepal, Save the Children USA, and teaching English as a foreign language in Japan and Latin America.
Original photographs and or digital files will be on sale following the exhibit to benefit the Darien Nature Center and Save the Children USA.
