The Darien Land Trust invites residents to spend Sunday, June 8, on the trails of Darien's Dunlap and Selleck's woods.
The event, which takes place from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., will be filled with activities for children and adults, including bird walks with an expert, a butterfly garden to explore, fairy houses to build, a hands-on amphibian exhibit at the vernal pond and tadpole catching on the "beach" at Dunlap Lake.
Environmental experts will be on hand to discuss local invasive plants that do damage, as well as native plants and trees that thrive in the area.
Explore the Nature Discovery Trails, which will be alive with music and plein air artists. Refreshments and a food truck will be available throughout the day.
The event kicks off
on Parkland Drive.
