Dorothy Gamber marries Christian Friedrich

Dorothy Gamber, a graduate of Darien High School, married Christian Friedrich in May.

Dorothy Reynolds Gamber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace J. Gamber Jr., of West Norwalk, was married to Christian Ritter Friedrich, son of Mrs. Jackie Ritter-Vogel and the late Fred Friedrich, on May 17 at the Bitter End Yacht Club on Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands.

The groom also is the stepson of Dr. Sandor Vogel, of Norwalk and Great Barrington, Mass.

Bishop Paul Ricketts performed the ceremony on the beach at sunset and a dinner reception followed. Bridesmaids were Genevieve Sandoli, of Newton, Mass.; Catherine Diehl, of Darien; Ashley Anderson, of New York, N.Y.; and Amanda Young Duggins, of Richmond, Va. Groomsmen included Tom Curley, of Fairfield; Jeff Passeck, of Fairfield; Craig Ritter, of Kansas City, Mo.; and Wallace Gamber III, of West Norwalk.

The bride graduated from Darien High School, class of 2000, and Union College, class of 2004, where she was president of Delta Delta Delta. She is RFP manager for AXA Investment Management in Greenwich.

The groom graduated from Fairfield High School and the University of Connecticut. He and his father owned Friedrich Renovations. He now works for Soundview Millworks in Darien.

Following a sailing trip in the British Virgin Islands, the couple took up residence in Westport.
