"Census & Population Changes: Growth and Trends Signal Increasing Needs" will be addressed at a program sponsored by Community Fund of Darien and the Darien Library from 10:30 a.m. to noon Wednesday, March 12, at the library, 1441 Post Road.
Orlando Rodriguez, senior policy fellow from Connecticut Voices for Children, will present his analysis of the 2012 population census with the focus on Darien, Stamford and Norwalk. He will address population trends, areas of growth and increased and decreased needs as a result of the changing demographics.
He co-authored the report "The Five Connecticuts," which is used by state agencies for policy making.
Rodriguez has been analyzing Connecticut socioeconomics since 2002 while at UConn's Center for Population Research and as manager of the Connecticut State Data Center.
