A Stamford Superior Court judge will consider a three-year probation sentence for Dirk Heideklang, a Darien resident who was arrested on a slew of charges, including assault on a police officer, in May 2013.
Heideklang, 20, pled guilty on June 2 to assault on a police officer and driving under the influence, according to court documents. He agreed to a four-year suspended sentence, and three years probation.
A pre-sentencing investigation was also ordered. Heideklang's sentencing is scheduled for July 29.
Heideklang, who lives alone at 37 Catalpa Terrace, was charged on May 23 and 25, 2013, following a tumultuous series of events, during which he rammed into a police car, fought back against police, told them he had taken multiple drugs and yelled at members of Post 53 and Stamford Hospital employees, according to court documents.
A search of his house yielded several firearms, all registered to him, and the discovery of a marijuana growing room, according to court documents.
Heideklang was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of more than four ounces of marijuana, cultivation of marijuana, assault on a police officer for attempting to spit at officers, interfering with a police officer and first-degree criminal mischief for damaging a prisoner transport camera.
